CincyAI For Humans Meetup to Celebrate One Year of Community Events!

The October 8th CincyAI for Humans Meetup will mark the one-year anniversary for the group, and the gathering. Hosted by Helen Todd and Kendra Ramirez, CincyAI for Humans has been a catalyzer of community conversation, collaboration, and capability building — and it has grown to be one of the largest AI Meetup groups in the Midwest. Hosted at the University of Cincinnati’s Digital Futures building, each event includes a key theme, a unique sponsor, and an open stage where community members can share what they are working on, what they need help with, and lessons learned in AI and automation.

Celebrating One Year of CincyAI for Humans Meetup

We asked Helen and Kendra to share a bit more with us, and here is what they had to say:

“On October 8, 2024 we’ll be celebrating our one-year anniversary of CincyAI for Humans and I couldn’t be more proud of the amazing grassroots community we have here in Cincinnati championing Responsible AI. Our mantra is a rising tide lifts all ships. It’s humbling and inspiring to see over 150 people — from the AI curious to users to builders — coming together every month to connect, learn, and collaborate together. We meet every month at the University of Cincinnati’s Digital Futures, and please take this as your invitation to join us! This was Kendra's brainchild, and it's been an absolute honor getting to know her and getting to work closely with her on CincyAI. Also, a massive shout-out to all of our volunteers who help make CincyAI possible too.” - Helen Todd

“A year ago, what began as a simple LinkedIn post “Where are my AI enthusiasts in Greater Cincinnati?” sparked something truly extraordinary. Over 13,000 views and 200+ comments later, on October 8, 2023, we held our first CincyAI community meeting, and from that day, we’ve been on an incredible journey. I can’t express how grateful I am for my amazing co-host, Helen Todd, without whom this wouldn’t have been possible. Together, we’ve witnessed the magic that happens when brilliant minds gather. From partnerships to business launches, job and client opportunities and hiring to moments of shared learning—our community is the epitome of collaboration and support. With over 1,000 members and 180 speakers in the past year, we’ve grown into the largest AI community in Ohio.
